Restoring Coastal Balance. Empowering Local Futures.

At Samya Foundation, we’re building nature-based infrastructure to protect India’s most cyclone-prone coastal regions. By transforming industrial byproducts like steel slag into engineered reef structures, we create wave-breaking systems that reduce storm impact, restore biodiversity, and generate sustainable local livelihoods.

This work is led by top Indian scientists, professors from institutions like IIT and Delhi University, and experienced coastal practitioners — under a non-profit model designed for long-term social and ecological return.

We are currently piloting in Odisha, on India’s east coast, with a vision to scale across the subcontinent.
